This museum-quality accessory is a definitive example of Edwardian (1900s–1910s) craftsmanship and Art Nouveau design. Featuring high-relief soutache (braided cord) work and multi-textured beadwork, this belt was designed as a "wasp-waist" focal point for a formal promenade suit or gown.
Bronze-tone metallic base with intricate corded soutache overlays. The central medallion features an oval "eye" motif encrusted with seed beads, bugle beads, and faceted resin or glass cabochons in shades of copper, obsidian, and cream. Includes gold-tone metal dome studs (bosses) at the flanks and a functional, era-appropriate hook-and-eye closure at the reverse.

Condition: Good antique condition for its age; hook closure is "crunchy" but functional, minor wear from age to be expected
